Flying a drone for non-hobby operations requires a Remote Pilot Certificate. You must successfully complete the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Knowledge Exam to earn a Remote Pilot Certificate with a Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Rating. This book is your key to success.

This efficient study guide is expertly organized into chapters based on subject matter to promote understanding and aid recall. Includes instructional text and illustrations, questions, answer stems, correct answers, explanations for correct and incorrect answers, and references for further study. When you’re done studying, take practice tests with ASA’s online simulated testing program at no additional cost!

The ASA Test Prep includes the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement, with the same FAA legends, figures, and full-color charts you’ll be issued at the testing center — to help you become familiar with all available information before you take your official test. DRONE SPRAYER SHINES IN HIGH-VALUE HORT CROPS

Bouwman sets the speed at 15 m.p.h., slow enough to ensure he’s getting uniform coverage. He thinks that speed does a better job than the higher speed used by a full-size helicopter. Altitude is generally 10 to 12 feet. Although the sales information claims a 30-foot wide swath, his testing with water sensitive paper says 24 feet is more realistic. In perfect conditions he might bump that to 26 feet.

“Quality of the spray job is a bigger benefit than we expected. When we’re spraying fungicide on corn, for instance, we see droplets all the way down to the root ball.”
